Job Description:
Select Safety Services is seeking a skilled Turnaround Technician to join our safety-conscious team. As a Technician I – Turnaround, you will work under the guidance of a supervisor in a plant environment, providing a range of services including inspection, testing, cleaning, maintenance, and repair of customer-owned or Select Safety Services equipment. Regular interaction with customers is integral to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
– Learn to inspect, test, and maintain safety equipment according to manufacturer’s requirements and document service as per Select Safety Services /customer policies and procedures.
– Assist in facility operations such as stocking shelves with clean, tested equipment, and preparing customer orders for delivery.
– Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in work areas and perform additional duties as required.
– Utilize Select Safety Services/customer-provided software to issue, receive, track, and inspect equipment.
– Communicate effectively with team members and quickly establish rapport with customers.
– Ensure compliance with all Select Safety Services and customer policies and procedures for safe work practices.
– Conduct receipt, inspection, cleaning, servicing, reassembling, and testing of various SCBA and respiratory equipment in line with approved procedures.
– Perform routine inspection and maintenance of breathing air regulators and reducers.
– Complete all documentation and data entry associated with inspection and repair accurately and promptly.
– Conduct detailed visual inspections and functional tests of various systems and equipment, reporting deficiencies and recommending corrective actions to the Project Manager.
– Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in work areas.
– Work 12-hour shifts.
Skills and Experience:
– Completion of Select Safety Services Work Instruction training and demonstrated competence in servicing fall protection, gas detection, and breathing air equipment.
– Proficiency in operating the High-Pressure Breathing Air System and High Volume Low-Pressure compressor with limited supervision.
– Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance.
– Good driving record and insurability for Select Safety Services vehicle insurance.
– Ability to pass internal forklift/scissor-lift certification as required.
– Capability to obtain manufacturer’s certification if required for specific jobs.
Working Environment:
– The job involves working in both shop and field environments at service centers or customer on-site locations such as refineries or chemical plants.
– Work primarily in a plant environment with frequent exposure to wet, humid, and outdoor weather conditions, as well as vibration.
– Work may involve elevated heights accessed by stairs, ladders, scaffolds, or service elevators.
– Interaction with customers in their environments, potentially exposed to high pressure, chemicals, and plant traffic.
– Travel to various locations across the US is required during In-Plant Turn-Arounds.
– Moderate noise level in the work environment.
Education Requirements:
– High School diploma or GED.
– At least 3-6 months of experience in the Petrochemical field.

– Starting from $20.00 per hour

– No less than 40 per week

– Flexible, including day shift, evening shift, Monday to Friday, night shift, and weekends as needed.
Work Location:
