Job Description:

Select Safety Services is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to bolster our safety-focused team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Director of Turnarounds to effectively plan, coordinate, and oversee all activities pertaining to Select Safety Services during on-site “In-Plant Turn-Arounds” or projects at customer locations.

Key Responsibilities:

– Initiating the start-up and closure of In-Plant Turnarounds.

– Supervising Turn-Around Project Supervisor(s).

– Ensuring strict adherence to all Select Safety Services Procedures, Policies, and In-Plant Turn-Around Protocols at on-site locations.

– Collaborating with HR to address and document all employee relations matters promptly.

– Liaising with the Sales team to meet customer expectations and handling time entries, approvals, and billing tickets.

– Providing regular reports to the Director of Turnarounds regarding project scheduling and overall performance.

– Managing Project billing documents in coordination with T2 Toadfly for accurate invoicing.

– Coordinating In-Plant Turn-Around activities and resolving any issues with customer management or supervision.

– Overseeing safety, manpower, scheduling, and planning aspects of the project.

– Ensuring proper maintenance and availability of tools, equipment, and PPE.

– Identifying equipment and material needs and submitting requests for sustained on-site support.

– Enforcing performance standards and ensuring personnel accountability.

– Upholding compliance with Select Safety Services Operating Procedures and guidelines.

– Supporting professional development and training initiatives for subordinates.

– Demonstrating integrity and professionalism in all duties and responsibilities.

 

Skills and Experience:

– Minimum three years of operations experience in the petrochemical or industrial safety equipment industry, with at least two years in a supervisory or management role.

– Basic IT operation skills including planning, configuration, and troubleshooting.

– Completion of Select Safety Services Work Instruction training and demonstrated competence in servicing fall protection, gas detection, and breathing air equipment.

– Proficiency in operating the High-Pressure Breathing Air System and High Volume Low-Pressure compressor with limited supervision.

– Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance.

– Good driving record and insurability for Select Safety Services vehicle insurance.

– Ability to pass internal forklift/scissor-lift certification as required.

– Capability to obtain manufacturer’s certification if required for specific jobs.

 

Working Environment:

– The job involves working in both shop and field environments at service centers or customer on-site locations such as refineries or chemical plants.

– Work primarily in a plant environment with frequent exposure to wet, humid, and outdoor weather      conditions, as well as vibration.

– Work may involve elevated heights accessed by stairs, ladders, scaffolds, or service elevators.

– Interaction with customers in their environments, potentially exposed to high pressure, chemicals, and plant traffic.

– Travel to various locations across the US is required during In-Plant Turn-Arounds.

– Moderate noise level in the work environment.

 

Educational Requirements:

– High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Job Type:

– Part-time

Pay:

– Starting from $28.00 per hour

Expected Hours:

– No less than 40 per week

Compensation Package:

– Hourly pay with overtime compensation

Experience Level:

– 5 years

Schedule:

– Flexible, including day shift, evening shift, Monday to Friday, night shift, and weekends as needed.

Work Location:

– Traveling to various on-site locations.
